This album was the result of months of back and forth between myself and the prolific, generous, and brilliant BK Fitz. Stylistically steeped in the era of the pop-punk and indie punk of my adolescence, the record thematically explores a lot of ground that is rooted in the same time period.
The memories, myths, and realities of growing up in the American exurbs in the 90s, the disillusionment that comes from growing up and seeing through all the mythology and propaganda, and the emotional reckoning that has to happen to come out the other side and be functional.
